中國天津濱海倉庫爆炸意外進入第3天，目前至少造成721人受傷、56人罹難，其中21人為消防人員。就在中國政府對事故展開調查之際，有專家跳出來推測，這場災難的發生主因，很有可能是因為消防人員利用水柱滅火，才導致化學火災演變成死亡大爆炸。此外，當地地下管道也在8月14日被當局驗出含有氰化物等有毒物質，環保安全問題令人擔憂。

鏡頭從空中往下看，地面上這個被炸成十幾公尺大的坑洞，就是天津爆炸意外的中心點，現場瀰漫著刺鼻濃煙，還有幾處冒出明火，讓人擔心火舌又會再次引爆。回想起這場有如被50多顆戰斧巡弋飛彈摧殘的死亡災難，消防人員依然心有餘悸。

受傷消防人員：「在現場滅火，然後突然發生爆炸。」

當地消防人員透露，趕到現場看到堆放易燃物的倉庫著火時，他們便動用強力水柱滅火，當時也沒有人告知他們，現場是化學物。灌救到一半卻聽到震耳欲聾的爆炸聲響，然後巨大火團便撲天蓋地的席捲而來。難道用水撲滅化學火災，是引發爆炸意外的主因之一？

橫濱大學教授三宅淳巳：「若噴水可能會產生有害和可燃氣體，這恐對人體造成傷害，當可燃性氣體產生時會一起爆炸，可以預想到受災情形會變得更嚴重。」

儘管確切原因仍待調查，但使用強力水柱撲滅化學火災，當地的消防專業知識，顯然有所不足。一般來說，如要撲滅硫磺等易燃固體時，應該使用乾粉和乾砂，用水撲火就容易產生類似這次的死亡爆炸。令人擔心的是，大爆炸除了造成人員傷亡，還可能污染空氣與地下水源。

聲音來源:CNN記者：「環境組織綠色和平發表聲明，憂心的說我們擔心某些化學物質，會持續對天津當地居民構成威脅。」

中國環保部8月14日，果真在地下管線中檢驗出氰化物等有毒物質，目前有關人員已將2個含氰化物的污水排放管線封死，以防有毒物質繼續流竄。然而，現在不只部份流水被封堵住，當地經濟也有如死水一般，讓貨櫃吞吐量世界第10大的天津港口，繼續停擺。（民視新聞綜合報導）
